Bormio, the Alpine heart of the region, has been one of the most famous ski resort towns of the Alps since the second half of the 19th century.
There are fifteen ski runs with various levels of difficulty, for a total of 50 km of spectacular descents amidst one of the most striking panoramas of the Orobic Alps.

A cableway, two aerial cable cars, seven chair lifts and seven ski tows take skiers to an altitude of 3,000 meters.

The most exciting ski run is the Stelvio, the stage of the Alpine World Ski Championship men’s downhill race, with a breathtaking descent of more than 4 km, amidst wooded sections and couloirs.

For cross-country skiing, there is the gorgeous Alù trail that winds for 7.5 km throughout the area.

At Bormio one can also enjoy the beneficial atmosphere of wellbeing found at the Thermal Baths and the charm of the old town center full of narrow streets, squares, tall towers and ancient palazzos in myriad colors.
